Products, Materials & Performance
We explain the construction and test information that matter when comparing fan models.
Which USB handheld and desk fans can you supply, and what are the wholesale prices and MOQs?
We supply original private-mold USB handheld fans and USB desk fans. Indicative bulk pricing is USD 5–15 per unit, depending on the model, configuration and volume. Standard MOQs are 2,000 desk fans or 3,000 handheld fans; trial quantities are assessed separately. Custom-color quantities also depend on the number of colors.
Do your handheld fans provide stable airflow, battery indicators and runtime data?
We offer handheld models with digital displays and controlled motor speeds. Display functions differ by model: a speed display is not automatically a battery-percentage indicator. Our quotation identifies the display functions, battery capacity, RPM and available runtime data; airflow and speed-by-speed tests are matched to the selected configuration.
What are the sample and production lead times for private-label USB handheld fans?
We normally allow about 15 days for custom samples and target around 30 days for private-label handheld production after artwork, packaging and pre-production sample approval. The quotation confirms the schedule for the selected model; tooling, additional tests and courier transit are scheduled separately.
What runtime, airflow and endurance data can you provide for USB desk fans?
We agree a validation plan covering airflow, input power, motor speed, battery cycling and runtime at each speed. A 2,000-hour continuous endurance run can be included in the project specification. Test reports identify the model, battery, operating conditions and acceptance criteria.
What airflow, power and noise data can you provide for desktop air circulators?
We use the following engineering reference ranges for selected 12–15 cm configurations. These are configuration-dependent planning values, rather than a specification for every desktop air circulator. We identify the exact model, supply voltage, speed and measurement conditions in the approved report.
| Speed | Airflow (CFM) | Input power (W) | Noise (dB(A)) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low | 35–70 | 1.2–2.0 | 26–33 |
| Medium | 105–175 | 3.0–5.5 | 38–45 |
| High | 200–290 | 6.0–10.0 | 48–56 |
How do you substantiate air-throw distance and room coverage?
We evaluate air throw using measured air velocity at stated distances and operating speeds. A project brief may specify 1–4 m of directed airflow and a 5–10 m² personal-use zone. Placement, room geometry and the minimum air-velocity threshold must be defined before those figures become an accepted performance claim.
Which parts of your metal desk fans are aluminum alloy, metal or plastic?
We specify construction by component. V8 has an aluminum alloy fan head and support arm, a metal base and ABS blades. V7 and our new desktop air circulator use aluminum alloy blades with 3-phase BLDC motors. Anodizing is identified for the relevant aluminum components; metal construction does not mean every part is solid anodized aluminum.
What alloy, anodizing thickness and corrosion testing can you specify?
We can specify 6063 aluminum alloy for designated components. Finish briefs can include 5–10 μm anodizing with 24–48 hours of neutral salt-spray testing, or 10–15 μm with 96–144 hours under an agreed ISO 9227 protocol. We confirm the alloy and coating per component. Salt-spray hours alone do not establish a ten-year service-life guarantee.
How does a 3-phase BLDC motor compare with a single-phase design?
We use 3-phase BLDC motors in V7 and our new desktop air circulator. The motor, controller, bearings and blade load determine noise, efficiency, runtime and cost together. We compare complete configurations under the same conditions; phase count alone does not establish zero torque ripple, a fixed efficiency gain or a longer service life.
Can your 3-phase BLDC fans operate under 30 dB(A)?
We evaluate an Under 30 dB(A) requirement against a defined acoustic test. A low-speed reference brief is 24–28 dB(A) at 1 m, with chamber background noise under 15 dB(A) and airflow of 30–47 CFM. These figures are test targets until supported by the selected model's report, rather than a range-wide noise rating.
How do you address motor whine, blade imbalance and housing resonance?
We review the drive waveform, rotor balance, mounts and structural vibration as one system. Premium projects can specify FOC or sinusoidal control, PWM above 22 kHz, dynamic balancing and modal analysis. We record the actual controller and balancing method; residual unbalance requires a defined unit and test speed, rather than a mass figure described as eccentricity.
Do aluminum alloy blades deliver more CFM than ABS blades?
We supply aluminum alloy blades on V7 and the new desktop air circulator, while V5 and V8 retain ABS blades. Airflow depends on blade geometry, diameter, RPM and motor power, not material alone. For an aerospace-grade aluminum blade specification, we require an identified alloy and material documentation; the label itself is not evidence of higher CFM.
What tests can support the durability of aluminum fan blades?
We can agree a blade-validation plan covering 1.5–2.0 times rated-speed testing, 60–70°C thermal exposure, a 2,000-hour endurance run, 10,000 start-stop cycles and 96–144 hours of salt-spray testing, where appropriate. Reports must state the tested assembly and pass criteria. Converting an endurance run into a longer accelerated-life claim requires a validated acceleration model.
How do you check blade balance, sharp edges and guard clearance?
We review rotor balance, deburring, edge profiles, guard strength and access to moving parts on the assembled fan. An R0.5–R1.0 mm edge radius or a 7 mm grille opening can be a design input, but does not by itself prove safety compliance. We agree applicable probe-access and sharp-edge tests, including relevant EN/IEC 60335-2-80 and UL 1439 methods, with the laboratory.
Battery Technology & Market Compliance
We match battery design and documentation to the exact product, pack and destination market.
What EU conformity documents are needed for private-label desk fans?
We support the technical file and EU Declaration of Conformity for the finished configuration, with the correct responsible legal entity, model and applicable EMC/RoHS records. LVD applicability depends on voltage; RED applies to radio equipment. FCC is a separate US requirement. Rebranding requires a conformity review, rather than simply editing a certificate.
Will your removable-battery fans meet the EU requirements applying from February 18, 2027?
We offer removable batteries on V6/V7 desk fans and our new handheld designs. For EU projects, we review Article 11 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, including removal, compatible replacements, instructions and spare-battery supply. The requirements apply from February 18, 2027, subject to scope and exceptions; removable design alone does not establish complete finished-product compliance.
Can users replace the battery with common tools without damaging the fan?
We design the approved removable-battery configurations around accessible compartments and service fasteners. We verify removal using commercially available tools, without heat, solvents or destructive disassembly, and document the compatible replacement pack and procedure. Battery access must be confirmed for the particular model being ordered.
Can you support replacement battery availability for EU projects?
We plan replacement-pack supply in the OEM/ODM agreement. Article 11(7) requires applicable batteries to remain available for at least five years after the last unit of the equipment model is placed on the market. We document pack compatibility, reasonable pricing, supply responsibilities and discontinuation arrangements against that timetable.
What evidence supports your semi-solid-state battery options?
We offer conventional and semi-solid-state battery options for new handheld designs. We identify the cell supplier, chemistry, model, capacity, voltage and Wh rating, together with applicable PSE, KC, CB, UN38.3 and MSDS/SDS records. Those documents alone do not prove a semi-solid electrolyte or puncture resistance; chemistry and thermal claims require the relevant datasheet and dedicated test evidence.
Which PSE requirements apply to USB fans, batteries and adapters sold in Japan?
We assess the USB-powered fan, battery and any bundled AC adapter separately under Japan's electrical-safety rules. In-scope lithium-ion batteries and AC adapters have their own PSE obligations; USB power does not automatically make the finished fan PSE-certified. We provide applicable battery records and coordinate the product classification and labeling with the Japanese importer.
Can the UN38.3 test summary match the battery installed in production?
We match the test summary to the actual cell or battery-pack type used in production, including the manufacturer, laboratory, report reference, date and applicable test results. We provide MSDS/SDS separately. Packaging drop tests, marks and carrier requirements are shipment checks; they are not interchangeable with UN38.3 cell or battery testing.
How can buyers verify CE, RoHS, KC, UL or CB documentation?
We provide model references, issuers, standards and report or certificate identifiers. Buyers can check CB records through IECEE, applicable KC records through SafetyKorea and any actual UL listing through Product iQ. Our battery CB certificates issued by UL Solutions do not automatically establish a UL listing. CE review includes the EU Declaration of Conformity and supporting technical reports.
Private Molds, Customization & Factory Supply
We set out design ownership, customization choices and order terms before production.
How can we verify your original private molds and design patents?
We develop our fans with 100% original private molds and do not offer generic public-mold models. We can present design-patent and tooling-ownership evidence under an NDA where appropriate. Public patent previews mask reference numbers; detailed review considers the design, territory, ownership and validity of the relevant rights.
Who owns the tooling, and can you protect an exclusive customer design?
We define tooling ownership and permitted use in the project contract. Existing factory-funded molds remain ours; customer-funded tooling and design rights follow the agreed terms. We can agree confidentiality, non-use and regional exclusivity, including one buyer per model per region, with a defined territory, duration and volume commitment.
What can we customize using existing molds, and when is new tooling needed?
We can often reuse existing tooling for Pantone colors, specified anodized finishes, laser or silk-screen logos, retail boxes and selected firmware changes. About 50% of our customers choose custom gift boxes. Changes to housing geometry or the internal mechanical layout require an engineering and tooling review. Licensed IP projects also require the buyer's authorized artwork.
Can you match Pantone colors and approve logo samples before production?
We use the Pantone code as the color target and approve physical samples for plastic and anodized aluminum components. Alloy, finish, texture and lighting affect the result. We obtain approval for the color, laser-engraved or printed logo and packaging before production. Custom Pantone colors start at 2,000 pieces per color, subject to the selected model's overall order MOQ.
What are the tooling cost, MOQ and lead time for a new ODM air circulator?
We quote engineering and tooling for the agreed development scope. Indicative new ODM commitments are 20,000–50,000 desk fans or 50,000 handheld fans. Planning allowances are about 60 days for tooling and 30 days for production after approvals. Tool count, validation and certification work determine the final budget and schedule.
Are you a direct factory in China, and which processes are in-house?
We are Foshan Marmot Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., a direct USB fan factory and B2B OEM/ODM supplier in Foshan, China. We welcome site audits and live video inspections. Structural engineering, prototype trials, final assembly and finished-goods functional checks are handled in-house. We coordinate specialist motor tuning and aluminum-blade balancing with component partners.
Can we agree an AQL inspection plan and defect definitions before production?
We can agree ISO 2859-1 General Inspection Level II, with AQL 1.5 for major defects and 4.0 for minor defects unless otherwise specified. The QA agreement defines critical defects, lot size, sample size and acceptance/rejection numbers. Any AQL 2.0 target requires an explicitly agreed sampling plan; it is not a blanket defect-rate guarantee.
